Topic: Planning for the Future

Order Description
Now that you have evaluated the professional development program and reviewed the program evaluation reports of your colleagues, it is time to begin thinking about how you will implement the “lessons learned” into planning and evaluating your next professional development program. Tom Guskey has identified five levels of evaluation for professional development activities that can guide you in developing all aspects of your next program.
Read Guskey’s article Does It Make a Difference? Evaluating Professional Development, and, using his five levels as a guide; develop a plan related to each level that will guide your planning of future professional development programs. Use the template below to guide the development of your paper. Address each of these 8 sections as you plan, implement and, eventually, evaluate professional activities in your school district. Complete the table in Section 6 and include it in your paper.

Section 3. Content: What specific content or new learning will you be implementing through these professional development activities?
Section 4. Objectives: What are the program objectives?
Section 5. Outcomes: What are the desired teacher and student outcomes?
Section 6. Five Levels of Professional Development Evaluation
